Rights Alliance England, is absolutely right to describe the practice of
routinely strip searching children in custody as “institutionalised child abuse".
It is amazing that it seems so hard to stamp out this type
of practice, especially when, as the Guardian article reveals, most of the
searches do not result in finding any contraband.
